The acquisition is now completed and PMP Group is a part of Valmet

It is a pleasure to inform you that Valmet has completed the acquisition of PMP Group, the provider of technologies and services for the paper industry.

The acquired operations will be integrated into our Paper business line and we are happy to have a new competent team onboard. From now on we will work as one common team, with a wider product offering, to further strengthen our capabilities to serve paper, board and tissue producers globally.

The acquisition brings together two companies with different offerings complementing each other. It combines Valmet’s current paper technology and services for wide and fast machines and rebuilds, with PMP’s product portfolio focusing on small and medium-sized tissue machines and board and paper machines rebuilds. As a result, Valmet will have the widest product portfolio in the market ranging from technologies and services for small and medium sized tissue, board and paper machines to wide and fast complete tissue lines and rebuilds of board and paper lines. We have hereby strengthened our core competences with another 650 dedicated people. Together with our current 13,500 Valmet professionals around the world we are ready to create competitive and even smarter solutions to move your performance forward.

The operations are mainly performed from the two sites Jelena Gora and Swiecie in Poland while the rest of the operations are located to Changzhou, China, South Beloit, USA and Lucca in Italy. Main markets are Eastern Europe, Asia, North America and China.
