Strategic partnership development between Yuen Foong Yu and PMP Group is successfully continued

At the end of March this year, Yuen Foong Yu announced massive expansion plans for the next three years, investing over 260 million US dollars in Taiwan and China. The corporation is planning a dynamic increase of its household paper machines fleet to double its current production capacity, reaching in the final stage, 420,000 tons in total.

 PMP Group has been chosen again as the strategic partner supporting the YFY development (after previous deliveries of 3 TMs in the past for YFY Beijng and Yangzhou mills). This time PMP will deliver four (4) new complete Intelli-Tissue® 1500 lines ensuring 108,000 t/a total capacity increase. YFY spokesman Mr Ming Fa Tang, Vice President Tissue, said: “We have decided to continue co-operation with PMP Group since they have good skill and experience in tissue machines manufacturing”. The new 2.8 m width CF tissue machines of operating speed 1600 m/min and daily capacity 75 t, will be delivered to the mills located in China (Yangzhou – expansion scenario of the facility and Dingfung – green field). Machines will produce virgin fiber-based tissue in the basisweight range at reel from 13-31.3 gsm for conversion into facial tissue, toilet rolls and kitchen towels. The scope of supply covers stock preparation, entire tissue machine (Intelli-Jet V® headbox, Intelli-Former® Crescent Former, Intelli-Press® with 16’’ YD and high efficiency steam hood and Intelli-Reel®) including auxiliary systems like mechanical drives, lubrication system, steam & condensate, dust removal system as well as controls and start-up services. Machines to be launched in the following sequence: one machine per quarter starting from June 2014. Main technological goals are focused on energy savings (low steam consumption), premium quality of the final product (due to application of special solutions in stock prep, double layer headbox and so on) and production flexibility. For better financial effectiveness of the project (attractive ROI factor), the deliveries are sourced from PMP Group facilities located in Poland and China which guarantees Optimum Cost Solutions.

At present Yuen Foong Yu Paper brands, including Mayflower, Tender and Delight, play a significant role in the premium tissue sector in China and Taiwan. Through production expansion, product line extensions, and strengthen the branded products YFY’s goal is to be ranked in top 5 among tissue producers in China.
