(…) Suparma has started trial runs on a second-hand tissue paper machine at its Surabaya mill on the Indonesian island of Java.
Tests on the 15,000 tonne/yr unit, which was previously operated at an unspecified European mill, kicked off on May 3. Commercial production is scheduled to follow shortly. Poland's PMP supplied a new reel and tail threading and sheet stabilization systems. The project cost totals $5 million. The Surabaya mill houses six other machines with a total capacity of 150,000 tonnes/yr of cartonboard, newsprint, printing/writing, tissue and kraft papers. Source: www.risiinfo.com, 18th May 2007 |
