Suparma tests tissue PM at Indonesian plant |

(…) Suparma has started trial runs on a second-hand tissue paper machine at its Surabaya mill on the Indonesian island of Java. Tests on the 15,000 tonne/yr unit, which was previously operated at an unspecified European mill, kicked off on May 3. Commercial production is scheduled to follow shortly. Poland's PMP supplied a new reel and tail threading and sheet stabilization systems. The project cost totals $5 million. Myszków has signed a contract with PMP for a replacement headbox |

Fabryka Papieru Myszków, Myszków, southern Poland, has signed a contract with PMP for a replacement headbox on its PM6. The mill produces standard newsprint and printing grades.
The 5.704 m-wide hydraulic Intelli-Jet VT headbox with Consistency Profiiling system has a design speed of 850 m/min and will be made antirely of stainless steel. The main goals of the project are axcellent formation, better printability and mechanical properites of the paper, as well as a capacity increase.

PMP Group will supply APP, an Asian-based producer of quality packaging products, with an Intelli-Jet V headbox with Consistency Profiling system, to be installed on the bottom wire of APP's PM4.

Jelenia Góra, Poland, Oct 3, 2006 - In August 2006, Arctic Paper Kostrzyn S.A. expanded the contract with PMP concerning PM1 modernization. Just to remind, that after successful PM2 press section modernization provided by PMP in 2004, in May this year, both partners signed the following contract this time for PM1 press section revamp. Last month, both parties agreed to addtionally modernized PM1 dryer section. PM1 produces high quality offset and graphic papers.
After expandind of the contract, except for the 2nd press configuration modification and the delivery of new press rolls, the scope of supply covers modification of the 1st dryer group to increase drying capacity. As the result of modernization, both the press and dryer sections will be adjusted to higher working speeds to enable the machine capacity increase in the future.

PMP to supply Intelli-Reel™ and tail threading system for PT Suparma in Indonesia |

(...) in November 2006, PMP signed the contract with PT Suparma TBK for a reel, a new tail threading and sheet stabilizing system delivery. This public company, listed in Jakarta Stock Exchange, operates 7 PMs with a total combined capacity of 165,000 tons per year.(...)
The new Intelli ReelTM will be installed on the modernized second hand PM#8. The reel trim is max 2,560 mm, the design speed is 800 mpm whereas max jumbo roll dia is 2,000 mm.(...)
